QPT - Brisbane Results

The final round of the QPT (Queensland Pickleball Tournament) was held at Focus Pickleball at Redcliffe over the weekend of 13 to 15 October 2023.

The breakdown of age and skill levels for these tournaments results in them not really being "friendly" for beginner or intermediate level players. Basically there are no skill level breakdowns and only Open, 35+, 50+ and 60+ age divisions.

Well done to Jason Smith for giving it ago in the Men's Doubles Open division. WHile he and his partner did not progress through to the medal rounds, they played great and did themselves and our club proud.

The only other member to participate in this particular tournament was Brian Krisanski.

He competed in the 50+ Men's Doubles event.

Both Brian and Mark played well and while not pretty, did enough to make it through to the medal rounds. After some hard-fought Quarter-finals and Semi-finals matches they won through to play off for the Gold medal.

Unfortunately, Brian and Mark went down in a very tough match, winning the first game but losing the last 2 to take home a SILVER medal.
