Winners Are Grinners

On Sunday 10 September, 2023 a number of our club members took part in the inaugural Moreton City Pickleball Tournament held at the Redcliffe Tennis and Pickleball Centre on Oxley Avenue, Redcliffe.

The tournament was a fundraising event for the club to raise some money to go towards upgrades and resurfacing and permanent line marking at the facility.

Our members took part in the following events

- Open mixed doubles

- Open mens doubles

- 3.0-3.5 mixed doubles

- 3.0-3.5 mens doubles

- 3.0-3.5 ladies doubles

- up to 3.0 mixed doubles

While not every member came home with that shiny bit of medal hanging around their necks, they all played fantastically in some tough, very windy, and gusty conditions. As usual, all played to the best of their ability and the club is proud of each and every one of you for giving it a go.
